Services

If you’re looking for a firm that will focus on your individual needs, and always treat you like a client who matters, look no further.  Our firm is large enough to offer a full range of professional services, but small enough to give you the individual attention that you deserve.

We will thoroughly and conscientiously study your personal situation, and tailor our advice to your specific needs.

Electronic Filing

We are an authorized IRS E-File provider and file all Federal and Massachusetts State Tax Returns electronically at no extra charge.

This means that in most cases you receive your refund checks in 10-14 days and have the option of having your refund check directly deposited into a checking or savings account.

Federal Refund Transfer (RT)*
The Refund Transfer (RT) is a quick and cost effective method for your client to receive their federal tax refund. The federal tax refund is usually available within 7-14 days from the time the client’s tax return is electronically filed. When the IRS deposits your client’s refund with Refund Advantage, Refund Advantage deducts all applicable fees from the refund amount and disburses the balance of the refund to your client.

State Refund Transfer (SRT)*
The SRT is similar to the Federal RT whereupon the client requests the state taxing authority to deposit the client’s state refund with SBBT. When the state refund is received by Refund Advantage, Refund Advantage will deduct all applicable fees from the state refund and disburse the balance of the refund to your client using the same disbursement method the client selected to receive the RT proceeds.

*Subject to bank and processing fee.

Installment Agreement Arrangements

You can make monthly payments through an installment agreement if you’re not financially able to pay your tax debt immediately. However, you will reduce or eliminate the amount of penalties and interest you pay and avoid the fee associated with setting up an installment agreement if you pay your tax bill in full. Before you apply you must have all returns filed. Gorman Tax Service works with you and the IRS in making a payment arrangement that works for both you and the interests of the IRS.

Wage Garnishments and Levy Resolution

A levy is a legal seizure of your property to satisfy a tax debt. Levies are different from liens. A lien is a claim used as security for the tax debt, while a levy actually takes the property to satisfy the tax debt.
If you do not pay your taxes (or make arrangements to settle your debt), the IRS may seize and sell any type of real or personal property that you own or have an interest in.

Wage garnishment, the most common type of garnishment, is the process of deducting money from an employee’s monetary compensation (including salary), sometimes as a result of a court order. Wage garnishments continue until the entire debt is paid or arrangements are made to pay off the debt. Garnishments can be taken for any type of debt but common examples of debt that result in garnishments include: Child support, defaulted student loans, and taxes.

Gorman Tax Service works with both the IRS and any state to lift levies, stop garnishments and resolve your tax issue.
